ReTain PGR is the foundation for a harvest management and post-harvest quality program in apples. A single ReTain application before harvest helps growers manage fruit maturation and ripening to optimize harvest time for maximum quality and storage potential of the fruit. Research has shown that ReTain also aids with maturity-related disorders such as watercore in Red Delicious, greasiness of Jonagold, cracking in Gala and yellow ground colour in Mutsu.
